libertad

Can't help but hug that smile-so-large-it-hurts that lies deep in the pit of my gut. I stood on a corner restaurant in our nation's capital yesterday, and lavished in the conversion of that space from one commanded by money-making business to one centered on sharing history in community. Employees and guests suspended all other cares to direct attention to the power of those moments... CNN put the camera on him descending down those capital steps and waves of freedom crashed through my soul, and the collective soul of all those who hold love as the highest truth. My idealist spirit feels in a sea of sweet integrity. Lines between dream dimension and harsh reality blur into heart-opening spaces of infinite possibility. Mmmmmm, let this be what it is. Take note, humanity, let these realizations ripple through us and register on each building block of our beings. Pasts of pain and fear linger with their marks, but in the mix of it all at least we have movement...
Saw it in the spirit of the man who climbed on top of the van amidst the sea of packing bodies attempting to stake out a place on Pennsylvania Avenue. He, a 'common citizen' stepped up into leadership to communicate to the masses unsure what was going on a few blocks ahead. This man let go of his own need to advance in the crowd for the good of the frigid and anxious masses. He provided humor, inspiration and information; in his own way, a mirror of Barack's style... each of us rocked by this crescendo, a mirror. Adelante.
